This Sunday, we continued our new sermon series, “Follow the Lamb”. We read from Genesis 22 and learned about Jehovah Jireh’s provision on Mount Moriah. God himself promised to provide the Lamb one day and he did through Jesus Christ.
This week we also meditated on question #4 of the Global Methodist Church Catechism: “How is God Almighty?” Our answer at Austin Global Methodist Church is: “God is infinite in power, wisdom, justice, goodness, and love.” We believe in God Almighty at Austin GMC! If you’d like to learn more about this, study Job 12:13, 42:2, Psalm 89:14, Isaiah 55:9, Jeremiah 32:17, Matthew 19:26, Luke 1:37, 18:7, Romans 5:8, 11:33-36, 16:27, and I John 4:7-16 in your personal devotions.
Next week, we will be in the Book of Exodus, following the Lamb as God’s story continues. Read Exodus 12 in preparation for next Sunday. We will also celebrate Holy Communion. All are welcome to receive the body and blood of the Lamb.
We have so many great things happening at our church. We are growing in fellowship and faith. We will soon welcome a new baby to our congregation but we are praying for many more to come. At Austin GMC, if we want to see revival, we have to pray to reach generations and nations with the Living Word. Will you pray for God to move in our midst and in our city?
Blessings,
