PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
As we build Austin GMC to be God’s House of Prayer, let us join together to pray in unity the following prayer for the month of July:

Father God we come to you this day blessing your Holy Name, for you are a forgiving and good God, abounding in love to all who call to You. Your steadfast love endures forever. You are worthy of praise!

I pray that out of Your glorious riches that You will strengthen us with power through Your Holy Spirit in our inner being, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith. And I pray that we will be rooted and established in love, having power together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that we may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

As we are establishing the foundation and DNA of Austin Global Methodist Church, we turn our hearts and our focus to You. We come before You with honor, sincere worship, and adoration. We praise You, Lord for who You are and for all You have done, are doing and will do. We submit ourselves to You—to hear Your voice, to know the thoughts of Your heart, and to align our thoughts and our words with the desires and intentions of Your heart.

Give us wisdom, strength, and courage, a new hunger and thirst for more of you, a closer relationship with you, development of our Spiritual gifts, manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit, and strategies to accomplish our mission to revive people with the Living Word, make disciples of Jesus Christ, and spread scriptural holiness across Austin and beyond. Be Thou our vision oh Lord. Come Holy Spirit!

In Jesus’ Name, AMEN

WITNESS SPOTLIGHT: MARY RICHTER

What is something unique about you?
I love to stay busy, so in order to relax, I love to oil paint. As I start a new painting, I ask the Lord to guide my hands in the direction he wants me to go.

What do you like most about Austin Global Methodist Church?
Being with a great group of people that all love the Lord and each other. We have a great Prayer Team and the Passion of praying for others.

What would be your dream vacation?
Being that David doesn't fly, I would love to go for two weeks with my three children to France, Italy, and Rome.

What would be your dream dinner?
Having my whole family together for a gourmet meal, but having someone else do all the cooking, serving, and washing the dishes!

What is your favorite hymn or worship song and why?
My two favorite hymns are "Here I am Lord", and "I can face tomorrow". These just make you feel the Holy Spirit.

What story in the Bible do you enjoy the most?
The Parable of the Lost Sheep (Luke 15). This talks about God's joy over the repentance of sinners and emphasize that God seeks to restore those who are lost, regardless of how they became lost. If we can bring one sinner to repent, or one lost sinner who returns to God, there is Joy.

What cause or mission is most important to you and why?
My Grow Group! On Thursday's I have my Grow Group sessions. It's such a caring group that allows you to speak on how the Lord is working in your life. We are there for each other to talk about how we are each impacted by the Lord.
ADMIN BOARD SPOTLIGHT: LARRY RUSSELL

What is something unique about you?
I enjoy being active and traveling. Mission trips are very fulfilling to me. I once kept bees as a hobby for several years. I am also a preacher's kid and moved many times while I was growing up.

What do you like most about Austin Global Methodist Church?
The members of the church are so friendly and focused on bringing Christ's message to the Austin area. I also love that we have such involved laity.

What would be your dream vacation?
I really want to see Australia and New Zealand.

What would be your dream dinner?
That's hard. I enjoy foods of many kinds, especially when I don't have to cook for myself.

What is your favorite hymn or worship song and why?
I've sung in church choirs for many years. It is impossible for me to pick one hymn or worship song. There are so many that speak to me.

What story in the Bible do you enjoy the most?
I think it would be Jesus story of the shephard leaving the 99 sheep to go find the one that is lost. That makes me know how much God loves me.

What cause or mission is most important to you and why?
Obviously both Somebody Cares in Malawi and Harvesting in Spanish in El Salvador are important to me. Those mission trips made an important difference in my life and strengthened my faith.
