2026-01-11 Morning Prayer

Most Gracious and Heavenly Father,

We are gathered here today to worship You and proclaim, blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and forever. From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised. The Lord is high above all nations. His glory is above the heavens which is  the work of His fingers. The moon and stars know their place for He set them there. God, Your name be praised.

Father, we thank You for Your goodness, mercy and love. We thank You for Your provision, Your protection and Your sacrifice. What god would die because of our sin? Only You, the one true God; the God we come to worship corporately and individually. Your love knows no end and You remember our sins no more. What can we say but Thank You?! Thank You Jesus!

Lord, You call us to be imitators of You as beloved children, to walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and a sacrifice to You. For once we were darkness, but now we are light in the Lord. Help us walk as children of light, doing what is pleasing to You.

Father, how Your heart must break when You see evil in this world; people in discord, anger ruling over love, frustration ruling over peace, calamity ruling over calm, silence ruling over Your spoken word. Call us into the dark places so we can be the light of Christ for all to see. It’s not easy and it’s not comfortable, but You call us anyway. We pray for clear direction on stepping out in Your name.

Father, this morning we pray for our children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles, friends and foes. We pray for the prodigals, the orphans, the lost, the lonely, the hungry, the oppressed and the forgotten. We boldly bring their names before You now………Amen

Father, we ask today for a permanent church home. A place dedicated to the worship of You and the presence of the Holy Spirit. A place for spiritual growth and the edification of our congregation. A place to fellowship, pray, sing, rejoice, release, be convicted and assured, encouraged and equipped. Not for our glory, but for Yours.  We are trusting You for this provision and we thank You for Your faithfulness.

Father, we lift up all first responders, law enforcement personnel, our military, governing officials, city, state and national leaders. We ask that You would hem them in and send angels to encamp around them in all of their comings and goings bringing them home safely at the end of each day.

Now Father, I end this prayer as Paul did in his 2nd letter to the Corinthians:

Brethren rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like minded, live in peace and the God of love and peace shall be with You. To Him be all glory, honor and praise forever and ever, Amen
