Am I a Shepherd?

Today we concluded our journey through the Gospel of John with the final question: am I a shepherd? How is this church feeding the lambs (the next generation), shepherding the sheep (governing our church), and feeding the sheep (providing sound doctrine and discipleship)?
At Austin GMC, we strive to do this. We offer childcare (Mini Methodists), Youth Connection, Sunday School classes, men’s ministry, women’s ministry, international mission trips, study the Catechism, preach Bible-based sermons, and encourage one another on the road of Christian Holiness. Soon we will have a tri-lingual Vacation Bible School and other great opportunities to ensure that the lambs and sheep of Austin are being fed by the Living Word.
This week, our church considered question number 18 of the Global Methodist Church Catechism: “Are we made righteous by works?” Our answer at Austin Global Methodist Church is: “No. We are never made righteous inwardly nor accounted righteous before God through our works or merits.” If you would like to learn more about this, study Luke 5:32, Romans 3:21-30, 4:2-5, 11:6, Galatians 2:15-16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 2:14, 3:4-7, and I John 1:9 in your personal devotions.
Join us next week us at 10am in the lobby of the Chapel for a special Mother’s Day brunch. Every lady will receive a special handmade gift. Invite all the ladies in your life!
Though our move to the Black Box Theater at Concordia University has been delayed, God is still on the move. Will you join us in mission?
Blessings,
