2026-03-08 Morning Prayer

Father God,

We thank you for this service today, beautifully put together by many, all guided by Your Holy Spirit, with a focus on your law/commandments. We thank you for sending your Son Jesus Christ to save us from sin and death. May we recognize and appreciate the significance, magnitude and depth of moving from a punitive list of hundreds of commandments difficult to remember, understand, and follow, to the law simplified, based on love and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

We thank you that Jesus was the Word made flesh, that He taught us why to love and modeled how to love. It all begins and ends with Your love!

• We love because You first loved us. Our love is a response to your love, and Your love draws us near.

• We need to know You, and present ourselves to You as a living sacrifice.

• We love You with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength, for we cannot serve two masters.

• We need to know who We are in Christ—Your sons and daughters, Your beloved, created for Your purpose in accordance with Your plan, in order to love ourselves, so that we can love others as ourselves.

• We need to know that our neighbor is everyone because You love everyone. Help us to see people through Your eyes, so that we may love them and bless them.

Lord, we adore, praise, exalt, and glorify Your Name because You are worthy. You are our all in all. Your love transforms us through the righteousness of Christ. May we give You our all. May we choose this day to love, honor, and obey You with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love others as ourselves, through the power of Your Holy Spirit.
