Reading Plan: Matthew 16-20
This past Sunday was such a treat. We were blessed to host Rev. Dr. Margarita Todorova of Bulgaria, our sister conference. She and two other Bulgarian pastors have been on a whirlwind, Texas tour before flying to Costa Rica for General Conference.
This week, please be in prayer for the upcoming and inaugural General Conference of the Global Methodist Church. Hundreds if not thousands of co-laborers in Christ from all over the globe will be flying into San Jose. We truly are a part of a global movement. If you’d like to sign up to commit to an hour of prayer every day for the 12 days leading up to the conference, here is the link:
This next week, let’s read Matthew 16-20 together in preparation for the upcoming sermon. Pay careful attention to Jesus’ description of the Kingdom of God and who makes up the Kingdom. Prayerfully consider how Jesus is calling Austin Global Methodist Church to build up the Kingdom of God in the City of Austin. Let our prayer be, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, in Austin as it is in Heaven!”
As you go forth into the world, remember you take Jesus with you everywhere you go. Let your life and speech reflect the Living Word. You may be the only Bible someone reads. Let your life point others to Jesus. See you next Sunday!
Blessings,
Rev. Lauren Green Yates, MDiv.
Pastor of Austin Global Methodist Church
