Galatians 3
What is faith? We sit in chairs we didn’t make. We ride on planes and do not know the pilot. We get in cars with strangers… Uber rides. We operate in faith more than we realize and yet many of us struggle to put our full faith in Jesus for our eternal salvation and the daily struggles of life.
The people of God must learn to operate in faith and share that faith with others. So many people in our own neighborhood need to know that Jesus’ work on the cross can be trusted. Part of being bold witnesses for Jesus is demonstrating and sharing our faith in his justifying work on the cross.
This week our church contemplated Catechism number 28: Who constitutes the church? Our answer is: The Christian Church is the community of all true believers under the Lordship of Christ. (Matt. 28:19-20; 1 Cor. 1:2-3; Eph. 2:11-22; and Rev. 7:9-10.) We are part of the church around the globe that declares the Lordship of Jesus.
As we go about our week, let us continue to pray for those affected by the tragedies in south Texas. If you’d like to donate, here is the link:
May you know that Jesus is able to carry you, no matter what you are going through. Even in tragedy, Christ is still on the throne. Let us comfort one another with this knowledge. Have faith, brothers and sisters!
Blessings,
