Introducing Listening Prayer

Have you ever asked God to tell you, show you, what He wants you to know—and then gone about your business without bothering to listen? I’m sure I’m not the only person that has done/does this.
With so many exciting things happening in the life of our church, and the many things to come as we re-locate, grow, change, this is the perfect time to introduce “Listening Prayer” to prayerfully seek the Lord for His will above ours.
Pastor Lauren has asked our entire congregation to enter into a time of prayer, fasting, and discernment as we consider the name of our church that best reflects the mission God has for us to ensure a godly heritage for generations to come, and humbly asks that even now, we begin to fast and pray in preparation for our upcoming Town Hall Meeting (August 12) and the soft launch at our new location (August 16).
May we continue to pray the Prayer for Unity of Vision that was shared with the congregation during Lent, and continues to be prayed in every church meeting as well as individually, and to enter into a time of personal Listening Prayer to intentionally seek God’s will for our church. You will also find this Listening Prayer exercise to be helpful in your daily walk as well as in special times where discernment is needed.
May you be blessed as you seek the Lord with all your heart, mind and spirit. He is the God who sees, and He cares so much for you and for His church!
