Reading Plan: Matthew 11-13
This week, we continued our sermon series on the Book of Matthew called “Thy Kingdom Come” and focused on the amazing miracles of Jesus. We serve a miracle working God! We celebrated Holy Communion and had a time of prayer for healing afterwards. We believe in the power of prayer at Austin GMC!
Our church is now offering THREE Sunday school options: the Wesleyan Class- Book of Romans (9:30am in the Annex), Follow the Healer (9:00am in the Chapel Classroom), and the Catechism Class Meeting (9:00am in the Sanctuary). The hour of 10am is a great time to fellowship with others in between Sunday School and Worship.
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Next Sunday, we will be studying and worshipping in a different but temporary space in Building B (next to the Chapel). We will be meeting upstairs in the Black Box Theater for Worship (elevator available). Sunday Schools will need to meet in the theater, the lobby, and a borrowed classroom. A greeter will direct you to where you need to go. Check your email for further details and a map in the coming days this week. The next week, we will be back to “normal”.
This next week, let’s read Matthew 11-13, paying special attention to the parables of Jesus and his role as Teacher. I hope you all are enjoying and learning from our deep dive into the Book of Matthew.
No matter where we meet or how we meet, we know why we meet. At Austin GMC, we exist to revive people with the Living Word, make disciples, spread Scriptural holiness across the globe as we honor Christ, walk in his ways, and live in his grace and truth. May God be with you all as you live out the mission and until we meet again.
Blessings,
Rev. Lauren Green Yates, MDiv.
