This Sunday was a beautiful service. We honored our Veterans who served this great nation and prayed for those still serving. We also started our Building Fund Campaign. It was a hope-filled, faith-centered challenge. I encourage our congregation members to 1) pray about how to serve at the church 2) what to give to the church to help build a godly heritage.
This past week, five Austin Global Methodist members went to the Wall Shakers Prayer Retreat in Clayton, Oklahoma to spend time with the Lord, fellowship, worship, and learn how to be more effective prayer warriors. This Thursday at 6pm, we will attend the Concordia Choir Concert in the Chapel and provide individually wrapped snacks for their tour. This coming Saturday, a group of ladies will be headed to 1st Methodist Waco for the Anew Ladies Conference. We are a church on the go!
As we go about the mission of the church to revive people with the Living Word, make disciples of Jesus Christ, and spread Scriptural holiness across Austin and beyond let us pray about how a building of our own will help us do this. When we build something for ourselves, we lose sight of the mission. But when we partner with the Holy Spirit to build a godly heritage, whatever we build will be a vessel God can use to further Christ’s Kingdom. Will you count the cost of being a church on a mission?
Blessings,
